Letters to ACC
1. Request for Clarification of ACC Decision
Used when a claimant receives a decision letter that is unclear or lacks reasoning. The letter requests ACC to explain the clinical or legal basis of the decision and provide any medical advice relied upon.
2. Request for ACC File Information
Used to request documents held on the claim file, such as internal medical advice, file notes, or reports relied upon in making a decision.
3. Request for Additional Diagnosis to Be Assessed for Cover
Used when a GP or specialist identifies a new diagnosis related to the accident and the claimant wants ACC to formally assess the condition for cover.
4. Request to Reconsider an ACC Decision
Used when a claimant believes ACC may have overlooked medical evidence or misunderstood the circumstances of the injury and wishes ACC to reconsider the decision before lodging a review.
5. Request for Weekly Compensation Review
Used when weekly compensation has been stopped, suspended, or calculated incorrectly.
6. Request for a Medical Case Review
Used when there are conflicting medical opinions or the diagnosis is unclear and a specialist opinion may assist ACC to make a decision.
7. Request for IRP Review
Used when a claimant disagrees with parts of their Individual Rehabilitation Plan and wants ACC to review or amend the plan.
